What is The World of Cariad?

It’s a Welsh~based creative business founded by me, Suzanne.

Inspired by the Wales’ rich tradition of storytelling, it’s a place where imagination, creativity and a little everyday magic come together.

I love creating art and experiences that encourage people to slow down, explore, make, celebrate and smile.

I use watercolours, photography, acrylics, pens and digital tools, including AI, to bring my imagination to life.

As a disabled artist, I use a range of traditional and digital tools to create in ways that work with me rather than against me.

Creativity has never been about one medium~ it’s about finding ways to share ideas, stories and beauty.

Every collection begins with an idea and evolves through curiosity, experimentation and care before becoming the finished design.

Some collections are peaceful and reflective, while others are playful adventures designed to spark imagination and bring a little joy to everyday life.

Creating Thoughtfully.

I believe in creating thoughtfully. Wherever possible, my work is available as digital downloads allowing you to print at home, send digitally or use a local, professional printer, if you prefer.

I also offer many products through print on demand, helping to reduce unnecessary waste and overproduction by creating items only when they are needed.

Where It All Began

Before starting The World of Cariad , I spent over twenty years working in education, helping people learn, create and feel included.

That experience still shapes everything I design today, from creative activities to thoughtful products that invite everyone to join in.

Whether you have come for a wedding keepsake, a whimsical birthday card, a quiet moment in The Retreat or a magical gift for a child, I’m so glad you’re here.

A glimpse into my world and the things I love.

Behind the Scenes…

Travel

I have been to many countries and seen amazing sights!

This is from Singapore, a city that has my heart. Full of nature, art, stunning architecture and adventures.

Fashion

Fashion has always fascinated me.

I love Lulu Guinness, Kate Spade, Vivienne Westwood, Dolce and Gabanna for their bold, creativity and distinctive designs.

I also love Dior, especially their current floral collection.

This picture was taken during the Schiaparelli exhibition, which was phenomenal!

Cafes

Do you ever consider food as art?

I love the creativity that goes into beautiful food and I’m drawn in by quirky interiors, especially pink!

This was at Peggy Porschein, one of my favourite cafes.
